Akrapovič Optional Header, Titanium (R1300GS/GSA)

Developed as an upgrade to complete a full system when paired with the Akrapovič Slip-On Line (Titanium) exhaust, this header is constructed from high-grade titanium with a carbon-fibre heatshield. Intended exclusively for closed-course competition circuits only, it enhances performance and reduces weight.

Tubes with a bigger diameter than the standard stock system and removal of the catalytic converter allow for enhanced gas flow. The pre-muffler offers a unique sound experience, producing a deep racing tone from the boxer engine. This upgrade results in a 54.84% (3.4 kg) weight reduction compared to standard stock. When combined with the Slip-On Line (Titanium), it boosts power by 3.1 kW (4.2 hp) at 7,800 rpm and torque by 5.9 Nm at 3,000 rpm, as tested on the Akrapovič dyno against a BMW R 1300 GS equipped with a standard stock system. Installation is plug-and-play, but remapping is mandatory.

The optional header is also compatible with the Akrapovič standard (first fit) / BMW Motorrad accessory Akrapovič silencer. With installation of the Optional Header (Titanium), ECE type approval for the Slip-On Line (Titanium) is no longer valid.

When installing the Optional Header on Euro5+ motorbikes (2 lambda sensors), the engine check light will appear after identifying a deviation in the stock catalytic converter´s parameters.
